my friend fed a "homeless" cat and the little fucker wouldn't go away. It finally got the hint after not getting fed for 2 weeks. mangy little thing.

I adopted a cat. I love her to bits but it wasn't a good idea. Just live your life and have a cat when you want to train yourself for having babies.

As far as cats go, Japan is FULL. It doesn't need any more cats. My stupid neighbour feeds the strays, which then happily leave the remains of their dinner outside my fucking front door. Then they have the cheek to wail and groan in the darkness when the leftovers run out. Sends a shiver down my spine just thinking about them. As a result, I try to run them over when I drive in and out of my car park.

Nothing at all.

Being obsessed with your cat to the point where you are ignoring its own well being for the sake of your own emotional attachment is a problem though.

When you have trouble finding a good house for a pet I can definitely understand the worrying.
Otherwise learning to live without your pet is like learning to live without your family, friends, loved ones and all the things you love back home - it is a part of the living abroad experience. From now on it is just you in your lonely un-insulated appartment!

My parents aren't really dead, but if they were to kick the bucket I would definitely be able to afford to fly home - I'm a JET.
