How did that work out for you?

I've gotten to the end of disc 2 (I think they only have a beginner level set?). I rather like the Michel Thomas style of language learning - the Spanish tapes are pretty good. The Japanese ones are not bad, though as usual I want to smack the female "fellow student" on the tape. While they probably aren't that useful for academic purposes, I'm guessing they would be useful for constructing survival sentences, and they don't take long to absorb at all.
