JET Japanese language courses (http://jetprogramme.org/e/course/test01.htm)

Hilarious in its blatant propogandizing.

Annoying for the way they did the kanji/glosses.

Yea the "furigana" was awful. I could barely read the sentences.

erm... why would they be engaging in propaganda? they don't make any money out of it or anything. in fact, they pay money for the tests to be graded.

Would it have been that hard to get furigana over the kanji rather in brackets next to it?? It was nearly impossible to read.

Glad I wasn't the only one who had issues reading the sentences. For that first level, are furigana even needed?

My browser rendered it as the furigana above all the kanji态nicely spaced and easy to read, yet when I copied some of the kanji i didn't know so well into dictionaries afterwards it put it after in square brackets.

I think it is browser settings, possibly some firefox add-on I installed to help me read Japanese sites a while ago...

One question made me laugh though, something about hitting your neighbour!

I found the language course almost useless when compared to a decent study book like Genki or a more advanced, comprehensive grammar guide.
