I was looking at my calendar and the JLPT is really just around the corner. How prepared do you feel right now? What level are you taking?

I'm going to have to buckle down a lot more if I am going to pass!

Taking the 3 which I should have taken last year. I think I am ready.

I'm not taking it this year (though I probably should) because I'm busy and want to get things settled. One year should be enough time to pass 1 kyuu if I really buckle down and study hard. If I can't do 1 kyuu I'll settle for 2 kyuu, but that would be dissapointing none the less.

Hope this isn't a repost or whatever, but I read that this site has past tests and answer sheets (http://jlpt.biz/jlpt/systemInitial.do?action=locale&locale=en) that you can check out if you register. Maybe it'll help some of you?

i'm taking 4. :| i pretty much signed up as a motivator to buckle down. i think i'll be OK with another month of study. basically refreshing on all the stuff I forgot from High School Japanese class.

I will LOL if I fail.

Taking 3kyu.

I'm feeling really prepared for any kanji they throw at me, but my grammar and volcab isn't that great. I probably won't pass it.

However, I won't be too down on myself if I fail. It's not like I wasted my time. All the time I've spent studying has really improved my Japanese :)

Doing 2 again.

I failed by 3 points last time (59.7%) so I'm hoping to push 75% this time. Been drilling the grammar and practicing reading exclusively since August.

Doing 1-kyu again. Last time I sucked it up with no study. This time I'm planning on passing with study. Now all I need is willpower...

Taking 1kyu. Passed 2kyu this past summer. Realize it is quite a stretch to pass 1kyu after only 5 months from 2 kyu (especially since 1 month was spent traveling abroad). Regardless, I think I may be able to squeak by and pass.

Taking 2 kyu. Kanji & listening parts are no problem, it's just the grammar that's killing me...

3kyu. I have been getting between 68-72% on practice tests. I think listening and grammar are going to be the hardest parts for me.

2 kyuu. I've been studying my brains out for nearly 1 month, as in, at least 8 hours a day. Got so much ground to cover it's ridiculous. Somehow I'm least worried about the reading section.

I'm taking 3-kyu but I am probably going to fail miserably. I know kanji and vocab really well and that's about it. I've really sucked at studying since the school year started.

Taking 3-kyu, think I'm fine on kanji/listening/reading-comprehension, but grammar is pretty poor :( Hoping to pass, but won't be too surprised if I don't.

completely worn out from studying reading passages and kanji. I really have no clue what my chances for 1kyu are at this point in time, but I'm not going down without a fight.

I hear ya, I'm studying myself ragged. College was cake comparatively.

I am goddamn SICK of studying. ...taking it in Kobe though. JLPT 2.

Failed it last time I tried last year. However, I got an 81% on my most recent practice test so there's not much to worry about.

I'm aiming for JLPT 1, but my vocab average is so poor that I dunno... It pretty much depends on my listening test LUCK.

I've been scoring as high as 88% to as low as 70% for listening, so ... hopefully my listening makes up for my pathetic vocab ability (anywhere between 50~70%).

Recent practice tests have been indicating that my chances of passing are less than 50% though..
