No, but I have met people online and practiced conversation on Skype.

How did that go?

Pretty good, actually my Japanese has gotten much better over the past couple of months. Now I speak with mostly 1 person and it's really good practice and since there's video it's pretty easy to understand. Also I can look words up and type stuff too.

So how did you meet your conversation partner? Do you speak English in return?

I'm thinking of giving it a go since my wife refuses to speak to me in Japanese...

umm, Lang-8 - Multi-lingual language learning and language exchange (http://lang-8.com)
That's an easy fix. Just refuse to speak to your wife in English. Problem solved. I keep a journal on that site, and sometimes skype with people.

Lang-8 (said above, but so good it needs to be said again) and also Sharedtalk.com are very good.

Nothing wrong with talking to very bored and very attractive young ladies with dreams of life abroad on the internet.

Shame that when I go on, the only people who want to talk to me are arab men..
