View Full Version : April 4th - UK

As many seem to think, this is the possible date for receiving that all important letter. Anyone beg to differ? Or am i kidding myself and hoping that i'm going to get turned down on the first Monday of the month, oh the life of a pessimist.

March 31st, 2005, 05:26
I also thought that the fourth was the big day - am currently in the middle of heated row, um, adult discussion, with my g/f about this. She thinks that I've only got this impression from the fact the the schedule on the official site says something to the effect of "results posted 04 2005 april", with 04 referring to the month rahter than the date; I swear to god i've seen this somewhere else though.

On the other hand, I vaguely remember being told a date when I was hustled out of my interview, and it didnt *sound* like the fourth; although given the state i was in at the time I don't think i should rely on the memory too much!

Quel stressfest...

March 31st, 2005, 05:34
I'm still wondering if it's a good thing or a bad thing that I wasn't told in my interview when I'd be hearing about the results. I didn't ask when I'd find out and they didn't come out and tell me.

Will the suspense ever end?

I think 04/2005 means april, not the date of april, it will be in April you'll get the letter of acceptance. the date they wouldn't say because they can't be specific incase something happens which delays things and then everyone would get pissed off.

March 31st, 2005, 06:58
Yeah, i have a horrible feeling we'll be waiting on this one til late april.

Wouldnt worry about not being told the date - I was only told by the guy who escorted me out, I doubt they'd somehow got a super-secret signal telling him yea or ney in the time it took me to leave the room

March 31st, 2005, 07:22
At our interview in Canada, we received a written pamphlet stating that letters of notification would be mailed out on April 12th, so I guess we'll all be waiting longer than you folks! Hmm......does this mean that Canadians only get the "leftover" spots? Ha!

The embassy have never specified a date in April at any point. As I understand it "April" is more of a guideline than anything else, I doubt we'll hear about the decision until at least mid way through April. The sooner the better however as I genuinely do need to know so I can move on back up plans if all esel fails ><

March 31st, 2005, 23:46
it was 12th of April last year... i think.

Shotokai? Are you telling me i'm going to get in then? I'm going to get my letter of acceptance in April?! Thank you so much, thats a huge weight off my mind. I'm so happy. Shotokai says i'm in! Get in!

April 1st, 2005, 00:14
hahahaha good one, but seriously you're fucked, no way you're getting accepted but dont worry KFC are still hiring

April 1st, 2005, 00:33
Thanks "IniKamoze"!!! You're sharp wit may be lost on everyone else in your life but let me tell you it really does hit the spot....ahem. And i love your little quote too, it's mature, intelligent AND funny. Ahem. Here comes the Hotstepper eh?

April 1st, 2005, 00:42
stop writing ahem, you look like a dyslexic christian

April 1st, 2005, 01:01
If that were the case, surely the word "Ahem" would contain the letters A, N, E and M. As it doesn't, it would probably be more accurate to say that my text implied that i was a Christian who couldn't spell. If you need any help with anything else then please feel free to ask.

April 1st, 2005, 01:06
could you explain why your mums minge is so slack? do you have a fat head or is she just a slag?

April 1st, 2005, 01:10
Wow, i don't really know how to reply to that. I'm too cut up to even answer. I'm sorry "IniKamoze" for getting the better of you. I really am. Hopefully you can forgive me. I hope you're ok. I really miss you.

April 1st, 2005, 01:21
can we stop with the superior tone please, I'm sure you're far more educated than me and went to a lovely university where you read lots of books and had lots of debates with other over educated middle class fuckwits but you dont have to feel sorry for me, I'm the one with the job in japan remember. Next time try and enter into the spirt of things and respond with nicklad, fyrey or cantdosleepflower style responses instead of this weak ass shit which is just pathetic

April 1st, 2005, 01:39
If you say so. It'd be rude not to do as you say seeing as you're the one with the job in Japan.

April 1st, 2005, 01:45
there you go again, for fucks sake you little cock jockey are incapable of responding in anything but a condescending tone? let me guess, anime fan with a BA from the south?

April 1st, 2005, 01:59
I don't mean to sound condescending. I'm really sorry if thats the way you see it. I don't like Anime, i don't have a BA but yes i am from London. 2 out of 3 isn't too bad "IniKamoze", so give yourself a big pat on the back! I'm really proud of you.

April 1st, 2005, 02:03
thank you, and using my powers of deduction seeing as you list fashion as an interest, you speak french and come from london i'd watch out for LGV if i were you.

April 1st, 2005, 02:14
LGV? I don't drive a van though. Please help me "IniKamoze". I need your wisdom to get me through the day.

April 1st, 2005, 02:16

there you go, but it leads to narrowing of the anus so maybe we will get lucky and your mum will catch it

April 1st, 2005, 02:29
Well seeing as it can clear up with a simple antibitoic, i'm not too worried and hopefully within 3 weeks of me visitng the clinic it'll be cleared up nicely. Thanks for alerting me to this though "IniKamoze". I can sleep soundly tonight now!

April 1st, 2005, 02:36
rectal inflammation, pain and bleeding means you can sleep soundly? you're fucking sick mate, and why do you keep calling me "inikamoze"?

April 1st, 2005, 02:39
As it's your name. i just like to put the inverted commas in there for you. I hope thats ok. I haven't had any inflammation as yet but seeing as you consider me such a sick person i suppose i should look forward to it. Maybe you could rub my ointment in for me when the time calls?

April 1st, 2005, 02:43
i'd rather tear out your teeth with some needle nose pliers

April 1st, 2005, 06:21
nelson did you interview in edinburgh? were you wearing a really nasty grey suit with beige shoes plus greasy hair? and did you come out and say 'that went really well' to everyone?

April 1st, 2005, 06:24
im no good.imnogoodimnogood

April 1st, 2005, 08:45
In the interview where I was at (S.F, California) they gave me a set of instructions of what I need to do if I do get accepted...on the paper, it said I would be notified on April,4,2005 by both e-mail and letter whether I be accepted or not....
but thats up here...

April 1st, 2005, 10:49
I asked about an email acceptance letter at my Boston interview, but was told that paper was more "official." It's not an outright denial that I'd get an email, but I'm not getting my hopes up. Problem is the address they have listed is my home address, so my parents will find out before me =|, my mom's not keen on it, but my dad is.

April 1st, 2005, 14:39
I hear that the Atlanta consulate has already sent out emails...I guess this particular wait is nearly over.

April 1st, 2005, 23:41
Marimo, no i didn't. I interviewed elsewhere and i was wearing chainmail, some flippers, a snorkel, a cumerbund and a poncho. I went all out with my outfit! On that basis, do you think i got in?

April 2nd, 2005, 02:41
i cut my hair today.
