dunno if this has been mentioned before, but
http://babelfish.altavista.com/
will translate japanese webpages into, well, something that at least resembles english.

i was very excited to learn that all that kanji on my city's webpage was actually talking about the "Hitting blowing enshrining T shirt design collection," which is apparently a contest in which you can win "the polar actual watermelon." awesome!!!

That one looks a lot like the one I use. This thing has been my savior as a Japanese major--you can use the Microsoft Global IME and write in text, or copy and paste.

Speaking of IME, I totally recommend using it for beginning kanji learners. Once you understand what order strokes should go in, you can write an unknown character in yourself and it'll find the closest thing. :)

Wait, are you talking about that weird movie where they're on an island where people keep getting killed? Or is there a SuperTroopers sequel being made?? :D

The Monash one is my fav but this one is cool too. Its similar to Babel Fish.

go to www.rikai.com then you put in the japanese website you want to look at it....then with your mouse it will translate the text in the document...it is tight...so check it out
