Hello, all. I'm currently doing general searches for ticket prices to go home to America around December. Has anyone come across good search sites for tickets from Japan to anywhere else? I can't find the exact Highest International Standards (http://www.his-j.com/index.html) (H.I.S.) site that a friend of mine stumbled across in her search for a cheap ticket home a few weeks ago, but I've come across some sister sites. The darn times I've done searches on English-ish sites like Cheap Air, Inc. (http://www.cheapair.com), I've gotten crappy predicted rates and this has somewhat saddened me.

If anyone has any nice links to recommend (or even a prior post to point me towards), that would be delightful.

Thanks in advance!

I've been to West Virginia several times, actually. Everyone makes fun of it, but I don't think it's really all that bad.

This is where I bought my husband's ticket. (Pittsburgh > Japan for like $749.)

iace has offices in america and japan so you can use english when you are booking flights......and even though the website is pretty good it is better if you call them, you can get better rates..

Thanks for the quick responses, Jack and Jen, Kate and Mark. ^^ Awesome. I'll check out these links. I feel like there's hope yet for finding a decent flight.

It makes me feel better to know that people have struck out for across the ocean and managed to come back with a little moo-lah to spare.

Thanks again, everyone! ^__^

Try searching from more than one city. The major international airports are Tokyo and Osaka, but everyone forgets Nagoya and its usually pretty cheap to fly from.
