Finishing up packing today, then off to get the mobile phone plan cancelled. Flying out tonight. Looking forward to seeing family in Australia and then a new adventure teaching British high schoolers.
Can't wait to check in on this years ITIL newbies and see how you're all feeling a month down the track.
Good luck to those starting or continuing on JET, happy travels to those who are also leaving.
It's truly been wonderful and ITIL has made it even more fun.
Many thanks.

Thanks guys,
Currently sitting in Cairns airport waiting until I can check in for my domestic flight to Melbourne. Bored bored bored.
Could not believe the weather when I left Osaka - had to take the bus to the airport as the Keihan trains weren't running. Turbulence was not to be believed.
Looking forward to seeing friends and family but craving onigiri already.

Hi all,
It's been a while! Can't believe I'm leaving Melbourne Wednesday night and this time Thursday will be well-nigh in England.
Time with friends and family has flown - cold but clear weather here most of the time. Saw a game of Aussie rules (go Pies), had a chicken schnitzel pub meal, ate some pavlova, did some work on my house. Other than that am spending as much time as is humanly possible with my 3 year old godson and his 7 year old and 4 month old brothers. Quite honestly the best behaved, most loving three little boys you could hope for. Thank god some parents know what they are doing!
I miss Japan every day and keep thinking of things I wish I had made time to do while I was there. Also missing the hubby quite badly, not to mention all you guys!
Make the most of it, especially if this is your last year. Go and enjoy the heat for me - what I wouldn't give for a sweltering Osaka afternoon right about now!
