I'm going to get my 3rd year SHS students to make some skits and was wondering if anyone could share any topics that went particularly well for them. I'm hoping to supply them with some ammo to make some really fun ones as they're a very imaginative class. So far I have:

Your friend's pet dies while you are looking after it.
Your best friend is an alien trying to take over the world.
Winning the lottery.
Finding a genie who grants 3 wishes.
Climbing Mount Fuji.
Meeting someone famous.
A very strange animal.
At a wedding.

Got any good ones? Cheers.

I don't have any specific scenarios, but a good way to encourage creative storytelling is to give each group three or four completely random words (banana, teapot, snake, mountain) and tell them they have to use all of them in their story/skit. You can also print out some interesting pictures and tell them to make their skit based on the people in the picture, or what is happening in the picture. Good luck!

i liked to get groups of students to make commercials for different products, i would bring in a box of cap n crunch, some taco meal kit, a time magazine and other stuff and make the students sell them to the rest of the class. went over pretty well.

That's a pretty cool idea, Mark! I'm going to see if I can use that somehow!
