Board Rules / Terms & Conditions of Use

Last Updated: February 4th, 2009.

Welcome to I Think I'm Lost. Your use of this site is governed by the following set of terms and conditions. You must read and agree to these rules before
using this board.

Terms and Conditions

I Think I'm Lost will be referred to as ITIL.
"We", "Us" is the administration and moderation team that run ITIL.

Registration to ITIL is free. You are allowed ONE account, of which the username cannot be changed at a later date.

If you are an American Citizen under the age of 13 or have been previously banned from this site you are NOT permitted to register.

By registering and using ITIL, you agree to abide by these terms and conditions.

Administrator and Moderator decisions

If you have a complaint or other issue with a decision made by the board staff, you should contact us directly so we can consider your complaint/issue and inform you of the final decision. Use the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of the board to send us an email. [Do not post or take part in any discussion relating to staff decisions as this could lead to action being taken on your account. Administrator decisions are final and are not open to debate.] In addition to this, if an idea requires public scrutiny, you may create a post in either "Site Related" or "Anything Goes." All conversations with ITIL staff through PMs, e-mails, or any private medium are strictly confidential, and may not be published without the consent of the staff.

Discussion of how to unlock mobile phones.

Posting information that may invade the personal privacy of any other person, including names, places of residence, or any other information that may lead to a person's privacy being compromised.

If you find any post that you believe may contain any inappropriate material, [contact us by using the Contact The Admins link under Modules heading in the menu at the left of every page.] please inform us by clicking the "Report Post" button underneath of the offending poster's avatar. It's the little triangle button with the "!" inside of it.

You agree not to post any copyrighted material unless you own the copyright on that material. You remain solely responsible for the content of your messages, and you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless with respect to any claim based upon transmission of your message(s).

Any copyright holders who find their material posted on the site should contact us and request that material's removal.

If you "troll" or are abusive in the "Applying for JET" forum, you will be banned for one week without warning. If you continue to violate forum rules after your returning, we may permanently ban you at our own discretion.

If it has been determined that you are breaking the law by posting illegal media on the forum, endangering or physically threatening another person, or flagrantly violating the privacy of another person (be it a member or otherwise), you will be permanently banned without warning.

If you divulge any information gathered through private communication (i.e. e-mails, PMs) with the staff without permission, you may be permanently banned without warning at the moderators' discretion.

[Any further violation of the Terms and Conditions will result in a permanent ban.]

If you disagree with any decision we make, contact us privately where we will consider your complaint. You may also make complaints in the "Anything Goes" forum.

We will not sell or pass on your private details that we hold about you. All details held are required for the day-to-day running of ITIL. However we reserve the right to reveal your identity (or whatever information we know about you) in the event of a complaint or legal action arising from any message posted by you.

ITIL cannot be held responsible for any false, offensive or otherwise unacceptable content on this message board.

Breaches of our terms and conditions will be dealt with on an individual case-by-case basis, resulting in formal warnings, suspensions and permanent bans. In extreme cases we will not hesitate to report members to their Internet Service Provider (ISP) or to take legal action.

We reserve the right to make amendments to these terms and conditions at any time. All changes will be notified to members via an announcement visible in the SITE RELATED forum.

ITIL is privately owned and run. Membership of ITIL is not an automatic right of any user and is only granted on the condition that users accept all terms and conditions. Any use of the forum is taken as your agreement to these terms and conditions. If you no longer wish to abide by these terms and conditions, do not use the forum and instead advise us, and we will close your account and remove your access to the site.

The owners of ITIL reserve the right to remove, edit, move or close any thread for any reason.
