No, but I have met people online and practiced conversation on Skype.

Pretty good, actually my Japanese has gotten much better over the past couple of months. Now I speak with mostly 1 person and it's really good practice and since there's video it's pretty easy to understand. Also I can look words up and type stuff too.

So how did you meet your conversation partner? Do you speak English in return?

I'm thinking of giving it a go since my wife refuses to speak to me in Japanese...

That's an easy fix. Just refuse to speak to your wife in English. Problem solved. I keep a journal on that site, and sometimes skype with people.
