Re: INTERVIEW LIST IS UP---Oh wait

No dice. There's always next year.
  2. Re: Forgot the word "and" in my SOP, just now realizing it. ..

No more clues from me. Chances are some intrepid coordinator could guess from my post history if I get an interview.

    *If* I get one...

    Re: Aspiring US JETs 2015

I received my ID # last week. Glad to have that confirmation! I have plenty to do before January, so I won't be sitting by the phone, metaphorically speaking. I'm behind on NaNoWriMo, and I need to...

    Re: Aspiring US JETs 2015

Mine was delivered this morning. Not that I was worried it wouldn't get there, but things can happen.
  6. Re: Some simple advice for you while applying/interviewing

Cliched? Sure, but at least I embrace it. I began my SoP with an anecdote about visiting the Edo-Tokyo Museum and learning about Japanese trains. At least I ended up with four paragraphs of...

    Re: Aspiring US JETs 2015

I was going to ship it via first class, but the kiosk offered the 2-day for a little extra. It's just in a manila envelope, nothing fancy.

Why is there an ID card in your application packet?

    Re: Aspiring US JETs 2015

Just mailed mine this morning. Opted for 2-day shipping as it was only 28 cents more than 5-day, giving me some peace of mind earlier than otherwise.

    Re: Aspiring US JETs 2015

My application's complete. I'm waiting on one more recommendation letter before I can send it. I have literally everything else sitting in the envelope!

As far as the SoP, I tried to keep a narrow...

    Re: Aspiring US JETs 2015

As an American, I never considered that they might use differently-sized paper in Japan in most office supplies. It doesn't affect me now, but I level forests when I print my novels for copy-editing...

    Re: Aspiring US JETs 2015

I wrote mine a week ago and just revised it last night. I asked a couple friends to look it over, one of whom has taught in Korea in a similar program. If you can, get more than one opinion on it.

    Re: Aspiring US JETs 2015

I list writing as one of my hobbies, along with running and cooking. I've been to several conferences and workshops, so I've taken it several steps farther than the kid taking notes about his awesome...

Re: Error reported in the JET Application

As a web programmer, I can confirm how difficult it is to create a multi-page form with session data saved between visits. I've built these kinds of forms for clients that send us .pdf files,...

Hello! I'm a 29-year-old male living in Florida. I graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor's in Environmental Studies. Many of my friends have taught English overseas, including several with the JET...
