    Re: Interview Advice/Prep?

Back on topic, I just got back to my parents' place from my interview in Toronto. Good luck to everyone this afternoon! My panel was fabulous, I was barely nervous at all, and they didn't ask...

    Re: Aspiring Canadian JETs 2015

Interview! Now I have to find a friend who actually knows about suits to go suit shopping with me. :( I know nothing about women's business attire. I wear jeans and hoodies at my office...

    Re: Aspiring Canadian JETs 2015

Got notification that mine was being graded yesterday morning. So it looks like the theory I'd had before was correct: it doesn't matter if you send it in early, because they won't start opening...

    Re: Aspiring Canadian JETs 2015

  5. Sticky: Re: SOP review

I went on school visits with one of them the last time I was in Japan. It's part of my adaptability and "why I want JET" bit. It's one sentence.

    Re: Getting an Official Transcript

Thanks, dude. I just wanted to make sure that a) it wasn't essentially like a void cheque and therefore useless for actual things, and b) York wasn't off being its own universe and no one else was...

    Re: Getting an Official Transcript

I definitely know not to send it to Ottawa. And it most definitely came in a sealed envelope, because it came in the mail, and there's no other way for mail to come. My concern is whether or not...

    Getting an Official Transcript

Ordered my transcripts last week and received them already. Forgot about the 'Issued to Student' stamp on it that would make it quite obviously unofficial. Since it obviously has to go somewhere I...

Re: Applying for 2015 - reference letter question.

But it's not a family member. Obviously a family member is not a valid official reference, and never has been for any position, ever, probably since powdered wigs went out of style. This is a...

    Re: Aspiring Canadian JETs 2015

So, applications went up on Tuesday. I have spent every day since then switching back and forth between, "Please. I have SO got this," and "OMGSERIOUSLYI'MAFAILUREWHATHAVEIBEENDOINGWITHMYLIFE!!!" ...

Re: Applying for 2015 - reference letter question.

I'm bit worried about my own reference letters. I'm applying from Canada, and I graduated a while ago so I don't require an academic reference (nor am I still close enough with my instructors that...
