    Re: Aspiring Australian JETs 2014

    Re: Aspiring Australian JETs 2014

There was no plan B per se as I was applying for jobs in my industry (Sport & Exercise Science) for the time being to fund the initial start-up costs in Japan for JET. Now that's not happening this...

    Re: Aspiring Australian JETs 2014

The postman arrived 20mins ago and was the bringer of bad news. With that, good luck for the rest of us and hope you enjoy your experiences and we'll see if I apply again for next year's intake

    Re: Aspiring Australian JETs 2014

I don't want to put the cart before the horse but since I did apply for early departure, I would presume I wouldn't have to get another criminal background check?

    Re: Aspiring Australian JETs 2014

Now what would be more heart-wrenching; getting the rejection letter or getting an e-mail saying "April Fool's. Notifications will be sent out NEXT WEEK"?

    Re: Aspiring Australian JETs 2014

I also got the e-mail. I swear the stress of this is much, much greater than final uni exams.
Good luck to all Aussies and I hope Japan loves us that much that we all are accepted.

Re: Money spent to interview site.

Mine will cost less than AUD$50 (USD$60) with most of that being lunch and a train ticket being $10. It's a 45-minute train ride, a 5-minute walk to the embassy and a 10-minute walk to the station...
