    You could always start yelling expletives in English at them. Whilst they may not understand it should effectively communicate your intentions and could serve to ward them off.

    On my day there were around 25 interviews (did a quick count when the JET coordinator was crossing my name off) and Sydney interviews were over 3 days so around 70 ~ 80 interviews maybe.

    Wow the US background check sounds crazy complicated, I'm glad the Australian one is much easier, just online submission and no finger prints required - I got my certificate in just a few days.

    If we're talking about JET participants as a proportion of population then New Zealand is clearly the most overrepresented.
