    Re: Aspiring Canadian JETs 2014

You guys are filling out visa applications and referring to your contract? I feel left out haha. I'm just sitting and hoping the last batch of paperwork I sent out wasn't lost in the mail. :(

    Re: Aspiring Canadian JETs 2014

Yea I really don't think you need to be collecting feces... My doctor was just fine with a urinalysis for occult blood. If you can get results rushed (depending where you are) you can probably get...

    Re: Packing for Japan

Oh whoops mine was in reference to the IUD haha, bit of a mix up in my understanding I think. Even if we did have the implant here in Canada, I wouldn't get it. I went through too much awful stuff...

    Re: Aspiring Canadian JETs 2014

I'm hoping I can find something like that! If not my resources will consist of Rosetta Stone and introductory Japanese lesson books from my university (without the actual classes haha). I'll...

    Re: Short-lister age demographics

Nothing wrong with preferring that. Personally throughout my life I haven't really gotten along with my own demographic (interests and priorities never seem to line up) other than a few close friends...

    Re: Packing for Japan

Yea they're tricky little buggers. Could just up and fall out in the first couple months. Not really cheap enough to be refitting them every few months...

    Re: Packing for Japan

Interesting. We don't have "the rod" here in Canada. I opted for an IUD because my body can't tolerate birth control pills anyway. Also takes a few months to settle, and it's good for 5 years...

    Re: Aspiring Canadian JETs 2014

Well the event calender has been sent out. I'm a bit disappointed that there is so little available for those outside of Montreal. I was really hoping for the language intensive classes to be held in...

    Re: Short-lister age demographics

I'm going to be straight out of school at the age of 23, with an Arts degree double majoring in psychology (honors) and criminology. I was short listed with no teaching experience, and a Japanese...

    Re: Aspiring Canadian JETs 2014

That's great! I prefer tight-knit communities. :) I'm really excited to get all of this underway, and I'm trying to rush on the paperwork haha. I'll try not to flood you with too many questions!

    Re: Results are In

It's honestly not as bad as the initial application. I went out this evening to get my medical appointments and requisitions in line, so that will be done by Friday of next week. Canadian background...

    Re: Regarding Paperwork and Deadlines

Awh damn. I assumed as much, but I thought I would ask anyway.

It's not that I mind going to the doctor, it's more along the lines of TB tests are expensive and x-rays take a while. I might be...

    Re: Regarding Paperwork and Deadlines

Awesome, thank you! Just one more question to pester you with... I had two-step TB testing done in the summer of last year (and it's good for a year I'm told), so would I be able to submit this for...
