I read some of your blog flying_sound and it sounds like you did pretty well if you ask me. Too bad you had to put up with listening to nickelback afterwards.

Mine was pretty straightforward. No real surprises since I took a look at the sample questions posted on here beforehand. I think it went pretty well but I'd like to do a couple questions over again.

Too bad for the people who's interview was horrible but I have to admit I'd like to hear some stories.

Good Luck to those of you yet to interview.

try not to get too excited and do anything prematurely in the interview. they won't like it if things start getting messy.

I feel I did pretty well. The questions were all easy and normal and I had good answers. I also had a good time chatting with the interviewer that walked me to the interview room and back, it was a pretty long walk and I think she liked me. It was an all female panel- 2 Japanese women, the younger lady (the one I chatted with) works for the consulate and I'm not sure if the older one said she did or not, and then a former JET. I feel I could've done a little better though, but I always feel that way.

Maybe it was an onomaptopeic representation of the sound you were making as you metaphorically flew your application concorde through the sound barrier of interviews.

I just sent an email to my SO with my list of questions and an outline of my answers since I had been too frazzled to even think about it all in depth before now... I know I was nervous, but when I look at my answers again, I actually like most of what I said. The only thing that I really felt stood out was one of my questions (it was about harassment), but other than that... I feel like what I said was pretty good. I guess I just have to hope for the best.

How could you people see anything they were writing? I was so far away from my table of interviewers it would have been very obvious and difficult for me to see anything, especially since the other applicants' applications were stacked in front of the table blocking the view.

Maybe it's better if I don't really know.

The table I was at was only about three feet away, and it was fairly low. The guy had the scoring sheet in plain view. They only had my information out on the table as well, so it was kind of hard to miss when the ex-JET started circling things.
