As you can see I've spammed myself to over 100 posts, bwahhaa!

Now more on topic, I haven't actually done ANY preperation yet..

Coursework isn't too bad, in fact regarding revision I'm going to create a new thread right now about it!

Hopefully I should be alright in the area, I did a lot of research before making my final choices However thanks for the tip, can't hurt to go back over what I wrote when trying to decide.
I'm actually more worried about being asked about England.

    well
Im from the uk and i didnt hear last yr till around this time last yr.

I had a letter sent to my permanent address and term address.

Interview is ok. Grammar test is simply and if u dont know the answer try not too worry. General knowledge questions are just basic questions. But i put the population of japan as 2 billion and im here, so id really not worry.

Best advice take your time and show confidence and consideration for their culture.

What kind of things do they ask you on Japan, i assume things like who is the prime minister etc?

I must admit to being somthing of an ignoramus on japanese literature and politics.

Not certain, I was told to brush up on history however. I assume you know, but if this was me a month ago I'd be curious so to anyone else: its Junichiro Koizumi.
Basically I tried to learn a little about a lot, goverment, religion, sports, martial arts, history(that was a big task, even only getting a breif summary of each period), traditions and ceremonies. The interview being a half hour long I assumed a lot would come up.

    Greetings all,

Long time lurker decides to voice himself. I just wanted to know, whats the latest date that applicants have been notified/given an interview for ALT positions in the past? Since i live in London, i delivered my application to the embassy by hand in the latter half of november and am still waiting.

The waiting to be told if I have made the next stage is becoming unbearable! ops:

Just wondering if anyone knows whether they got their interview letter sent to both their addresses? I was told that they send to both, but I'm kinda hoping now that that isn't the case and there'll be one waiting for me when I get back to uni .
