Default anyone in the US had an interview yet?

Just wondering if anyone in the US has had an interview. Or if anyone knows when the interviewing process begins in the states.

Ummmm... not trying to be nosy, but who said that, and when? Cause I'm starting to get a wee bit nervous, having not even recieved my SASE back yet, confirming they even recieved my application.

It would be nice to know I wasn't the only one, and that perhaps that was the norm at the moment.

they aren't in any hurry, as we don't have to recontract until feb 4th. thus they don't know how many places are available for new jets to fill. when this number is in the cogs will speed up, but the wait will still be apalling.

I got my SASE in the mail 3 weeks ago. It said that if I hadn't received an interview appointment by Feb 15 (I believe) then I should call the embassy and see what's shaking.

That's what mine said also. The Houston Embassy site says the same thing.
You should have gotten your notice by now that they at least received it.

To be honest I totally forgot about my application.

It was one of many irons in the fire I had on the go.

Then one day I got a letter about the interview followed after the interview by the secret "dont tell anyone on pain of death" letter.

I knew I was coming to Asia I just didnt know by what means. I had different job offers but Japan was my first choice.
I guess that maybe because I knew I had Plan Bs I was relaxed in the interview and got the job.
Unlike the guy who really wanted the job and came across as really desperate and nervous- he went into the interview and knocked the water jug all over.

My well hidden point is not to pin everything on JET.

Yeah~ That was kinda vague... I meant, so when you called your local embassy (or where ever you had to call), did they make you jump through any hoops or was it fairly straight foreward to get someone to provide you with the "yes, we got your application" et cetera...

I got my E-mail notice today. I made it into the interviews.
There was a list a mile long of people notified but I was on the list.
    I'm interviewing in Houston
