Default Why one should not work for an Eikaiwa

    stats

827,000 Number of students attending eikaiwa and other foreign-language schools in February 2006, according to the industry ministry

336,000 Number of students in February 2010

59% drop - Worse than fine dining restaurants

Those will not include the small owner/ operator places (I had 35 students at the peak) but still the numbers are dismal.

Better look at teaching kids (elementary and younger) as well as those few businesses. That is the only place to make money outside of JET in teaching I think.

I have a budy that just had to hire a new teacher for his school, he has over 70 students (Elementary - 70 year old women) making like triple a jet salary, and since he got the land for free (inlaws) no rent or other stuff.
