Default Do donations/gifted money count as "second jobs"

I know JET says people aren't allowed to take up second jobs and things like that while on the program, but what about something like donations?

For example, people livestreaming get money on donations but I don't think it is really considered INCOME. From my research it doesn't even need to be declared tax-wise unless it is over $11,000 a year?

    Income:
noun1.the monetary payment received for goods or services, or from other sources, as rents or investments.

    (Dictionary.com)
If you were trying to scam the system (which is to receive money from any source other than investments), just ensure that the activity isn't based in Japan, and isn't receiving income to Japan in any way. Keep it in paypal abroad.

As long as you don't bring the money into Japan and it stays in your home country, you should be OK. As much as paypal sucks (transaction fees wooo!), it or another online bank is probably your best bet.

If it's "donation" or "gift" based, then there aren't any fees (in most countries).
Everything I have ever said was a lie, and that's the truth.

Unfortunately, Paypal still charges fees for donations or gifts

American is what I use now. The person gifting doesn't see anything on their end. The person receiving the money sees the fees taken out.
