I'm wondering, how does one find out your local tax office for appointing a representative for the second part of the pension refund?
Is it your city hall, your prefecture or some big central Tokyo office?

It's usually in your city / town, depending on how big the place is. Your school office can probably help, as they likely deal with taxes through the same office unless all your teachers live at the other end of the prefecture.
...because Japan.
I left Jet a while ago, stayed on in Japan a while after, so can't really chase down my school.
So just the city hall of the last place I lived then? Thanks.
Just hope my pension refund letter turns up. I fear it has been stolen.
