Chiba ken reporting for duty.

We have a reasonably active forum and a slowly growing wiki. It hasn't hit critical mass yet, but we are getting there.
The Akita website is really helpful I think even for those not living here.

Superman once wrote on the wall: "Batman is a wimp."
The next day Batman wrote: "Superman is Clark Kent."
new site for Gifu: http://www.gifu-jets.com/
Wow. This is odd. I was thinking to myself that I need a list of all the JET Prefectural websites to add to a new Hiroshima site, and here is this old thread that with all that information! Must be my lucky day.
Hiroshima JETs rejoice, you now have a webpage. Or I should say that your semi-monthly newsletter is now online is a very cool way.
The Wide Island View, which has been around since 2006 in PDF formatt, is now available online at http://www.wideislandview.com for your viewing pleasure. We're working hard at putting all the back issues into our database, but all the new stuff is online now. In fact you'll find that in addition to whats in the PDF version theres a whole lot more to read about online, as well as an up to the minute event calendar and user videos.
Please check it out and let us know how you feel about it. We'd love you even more if you took a blog post you've written and submit it as an article. The more people contribute the better we'll become.
The Okayama website is basically down, taking you to just the index/directory, which isn't really making me smile right now because I'm sure there is a ton of info but no reasonable way to wade through it as is. Anyone happen to know who put it up?
Oklahoma to Okayama
Yea that's the old AJET website. Noone has known how to fix it in years so it was just left to rot.
The facebook group is better try searching for Okayama AJET on that. There's a yahoo group as well if you like mass emails.

'Oh it's so wonderful to be an older woman. All this old stuff to do'
I've also found this site http://http://miyazakiajet.com/msg/index.php
Yamaguchi's is here: http://ajet.net/yamaguchi/
However, it was last updated in 2003 but it's still full of tons of information.
Osaka site is fucked up. :/
Here is a list of all the JET Prefecture webpages that we at the Wide Island View could put together. There are a few sites that seem to be highly neglected, which is sad.
Wide Island View Links
What surprises me is the number of AJET or JET people who keep trying to put together a Wiki. Or I should say set up a wiki and hope other people write stuff. Hiroshima tried that awhile ago, and the Wiki is rather bare. That and most people don't even know how to access it....
If there is anyone out there who wants to make a JET Prefecture webpage its really really really easy to do. Only costs $10 for the first year, with a domain name. The Wide Island View was put together in all of a day, by one person (me), and almost all that time was putting old information on the page.
Shoot, for $10 at Dreamhost.com you could make a JET Info page, custom domain name, and a ITIL forum in all of half an hour.
Man, I spent some time going this past week visiting EVERY prefecture webpage. It's sad to see so many of them are completely dead. I found several that had their last post be in 2001. Several that were dead links (looking at you okayama).
Blah on your facebook groups.
Two Kyoto sites!
Kyoto Association of JETs is at Kyoto Association of JETs
The brand new web publication is the Ganbatte Times, which can be found at Ganbatte Times | The unofficial Kyoto Jet Programme newsletter gone webzine The Ganbatte Times just moved from PDF newsletter to website a few days ago, but we're hoping for contributions soon!
The "Ganbatte Times"?!?!
hahahahahhaaha way to pick the WORST title ever.
Looks like the Shimane link is still broken. Can someone edit it to www.shimanejet.com ?
