Glad to know I'm not the only one searching for others who are waiting on placement news... even if I do also frequent that other site

Where are you from then Sprat?

I'm in Newtown in Sydney. One day I want to live in Phoenix, Arizona.

We're practically neighbours, then. I'm in Marrickville.

Wondering if it's worth ringing Julio today to find out if there's anything he can tell us...

Sprat I'm seriously thinking about bugging Julio.

I thought at first he was just lazy but I'm starting to think he's just overworked.

I think if you rang up the consulate and asked to speak to the tea lady he'd answer the phone.

    Poor Julio.

Do it, do it, do it: call him.

I can't; I'm too scared. But also desperate to know!

I've already called him once about some problem I had with my university - I'd feel like a total knob calling again - i felt dildo enough last time...

    Has your postie been yet?

Got the shits, called the consulate.

    Got my placement too.

    Sprat, I asked for you.

Apparently he sent everything out today (friday) so assuming Australia post doesn't fuck up you should know lots more than you ever wanted to know by Monday.

Thanks, Dom. I'll probably not get much sleep tonight... or work done tomorrow... but if there's something in the post on Monday, that would be great.

Please, Australia Post, don't screw around.

BTW, congrats on your placement, Dom. Sounds like an interesting place. I look forward to hearing all about it at pre-departure orientation.

I'm in Western Australia and haven't heard anything yet either. I hope they sent them out here on Friday, too. Should be something to look forward to on Monday.

I'm not able to get to my mailbox before 10pm tonight.

Can someone else who is in Sydney waiting for placement info, please let me know if it comes in the post today? Even if it doesn't - that'd be good to know, too.

    Thanks!

Okay, this is totally weak. Empty mailbox again.

    <sigh>

My JET package came today in Sydney.

I am in ... Asakuchi City in Okayama. I was so surprised.

Mine was delivered by an Australia Post contractor so someone may need to be home when you get it (it's a very sizeable package) but it doesn't need to be signed for so I assume they just leave it at your door or leave a note to tell you to pick it up at the PO.

There's lots of interesting stuff inside.

I've decided to look at it all after I finish uni because none of the medical stuff applies to me anyway.

Okay, if it's not there when I get home today I'm gonna start to worry.

Any else from Perth got/not got theirs yet?
