    Hey soundslikejazz :smt031

Fukui prefecture seems like a pretty good location in my opinion, what do you think?

Pretty close to Osaka, Kyoto etc...infact it seems a good location to sprawl our asses all over Japan! Also seems like a good area to explore in itself!

In my letter I got a leaflet for Echizen, Fukui - but on the placement letter all they said was Fukui prefecture...

The Jet website is pretty helpful too >> http://www.fjet.org/index.html

Im not in Fukui but im damn close...I live in the Northern end of Shiga...the trains go thru my town and end in Tsuruga in Fukui...so if youre in the southern end of fukui or willing to go to Tsuruga we can probably meet up!

Greetings to those heading to Fukui - despite what the Lonley Planet Guide says about this place - the quaility of life for JETs here is very high.

I'm now heading off after a superb two years here - but if you want a taste of what's in store for you (kayaking on deserted lakes, snowboarding every day in winter, monkey madness, cool rivers to swim in, and a great bunch of people) check:

    Default hi fellow fukui people!

Hey i have been placed in Fukui this year too, which is pretty exciting, yet i'm not embarrassed to say that i'm getting a little nervous too! But i'm sure it will be an amazing experience.

If anyone can suggest any funky little tips or suggestions about going to Fukui it would be cool. I'm just trying to sort out shipping my stuff at the moment which is proving to be difficult and expensive!

Cant wait to meet whoever else will be in Fukui too!
