    Default FBI check

So I am a bit worried, well not really worried, but still. I sent in my FBI stuff like a week and a half ago with the whole bill my credit card thing, but I have yet to get any charge on it yet. I don't really want to hassle calling the FBI so was wondering how quickly any ones charge on their card came, if that makes any sense

If I remember correctly they received mine on 4/13, charged my card on 4/17, then I got the report back to me on 4/23. I used a pretty early date as the required date, so I'm not sure if they hit your card right after they receive it, or they hit it right before they return it to you. I guess I am a bad example.

Oh God...I sent mine before you did, and I'm looking at my bank statement online, and they haven't charged me yet...WTF?!

I didn't even think to check my credit card statement!

    *checks*
    Whoo-hoo!
I sent them 2-day delivery the Tuesday after I got in, so...4/10, got there 4/12.
Credit card charged on 4/22. Awesome++!

To anyone worried, though, I wouldn't. I'm imagining that scene in the "Santa Claus Movie" from the '80s where the elves are minding their own business and then suddenly a metric TON of letters flop down the chimney! I'm giving mad props to the FBI for taking it in stride thus far.

I was actually retarded and sent cash.... emailed them with the error, the response was:

    Benjamin,

Don't fret! We can exchange your $18 cash for a money order here. We will then process your request.

If you have any further questions, please feel free contact me.

    Sincerely,

I was surprised about how agreeable they were.... who would have thought...?

Yeah I sent mine out 2 weeks ago as well. There is still no word. This is the very last thing I need and I'm squared away. I guess they may be a bit overwhelmed by all the requests.

Well, I think it depends on the delivery date you requested. I actually requested mine 1 month out, expecting to get it 2 months out, since I am moving back to the East Coast. I was pleasantly surprised that they exceeded my expectations.

And imagine if she got your preferred placement also.

This thread is the only thing keeping me moderately calm about the whole FBI check, but only moderately. I kind of wish I hadn't paid by postal money order so that I could check up my bank accounts like you guys are. I know it's still too early to start panicking, but I am. I'm starting to picture all sorts of other issues. Should call Angel on Monday to at least alleviate some of those irrational fears.

But to my great suprise I have recieved my completed background check in the mail yesterday! I am sure everyone else who expediated thiers will recieve it before the end of July for sure.

Ummm, not even May yet? Why the panic?
I think the end of June/early July would be the time to start a mild panic, that one could stoke daily into a major one as July flew by....
