Enjoy your time home while it lasts. Eat lots of food, take lots of pictures, do all the things you love before you get here. The first month is the hardest. It sometimes takes 3 months or more to get internet. Bring/download lots of movies/ tv shows for those lonely nights in a strange land. (Unless you are being placed in the city, in which case, I hate you  )
If a kid asks where rain comes from, I think a cute thing to tell him is "God is crying." And if he asks why God is crying, another cute thing to tell him is "Probably because of something you did."

I was doing my washing up earlier and started to get a bit anxious at how little time I've got to get organised for Japan.

I don't even know where I'm going yet.

Also, I'm buying an external hard drive and I'm going to torrent the shit out of everything. Oh and buy a spare laptop adpater so I won't need to fear about it breaking.

Don't remind me. My pred. has been telling me that Tatebayashi breaks heat records during the summer. Which isn't cool. I sleep naked in the winter with a fan on me and my window open... Because I'm hot....

That just sounds like it's begging for a traffic jam. Or perhaps it is not what I'm imagining. And you probably have less cars to cause jams than we do closer to LA.... :?:

    Organized?

    Organised?

OH WAIT! NEWS FLASH! They're both right.

So let's not antagonize (er - antagonise) each other about it.

Our current interchange is, well, let's face it, Russian Roulette. It's ALWAYS clogged, especially at that area. Doesn't help that that is where UCR is at too. Even though I don't go to UCR anymore, my bf lives on the other side of the damned thing. Anyway, they're making this nice lovely interchange to replace the four-leaf-clover style that is currently running.

As for Doomer, pming you now!

8O And this whole time I'd been thinking that traffic had to be much better out there. I was even thinking close to normal standards. Guess I should check out that area before I make anymore assumptions.

"Driving" most anywhere around here sucks so much.
