Default If anyone's feeling really bored...

Could you possibly donate some sample sentences for my 2nenseis? My JTE asked me to come up with 10 sample sentences each for "Will you...", "Why don't you...", "Shall I..." and "Shall we...." by the end of today, to demonstrate the similarities and differences between those four expressions. My mind's gone blank, so if anyone's particularly bored and has some good ideas, it would be very much appreciated.

    "Will you eat dinner tonight?"

"Why don't you try studying for your test?"

"Shall I call your mother to pick you up?"

"Shall we go to karaoke tonight?"

    Shall we see a movie?
Shall we go to the doctor?

    Shall I bring something?
    Shall I ask him?

    Will you call me tomorrow?
Will you come to the festival?
    Will you think about it?
Will you be there on Saturday?

Why don't you think about it?
Why don't you want to go?
Why don't you and I have a little chat?
    Why don't you call him?

    Shall we fuck?
    Will you fuck me?
    Why don't you fuck yourself?

See what she thinks of those ones!

    Or

    Shall we dance?
    Will you dance with me?
Why don't you dance with her?

    Shall we eat cake?
    Will you eat much cake?
Why don't you eat his cake?

    Shall we swim after lunch?
Will you swim in the ocean or in a pool?
Why don't you swim over there?

Shall we teach sentences that noone has used in English for about 80 years?

Yes, I believe we shall, old chap.

I don't think dombay has hit the top hole in quite some time, KM.

I try to explain to my teachers about "I've" versus "I have". Contractions are wonderful things, but the JTEs don't understand them.

Reminds me of another of my pet hates - "I've got..."
(As in "I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts")
    Just "I've", thanks very much!

I think by "top hole" he meant "front bottom", Dombay.
    What you crying about, love?
